- After a year's illness, Mrs. Edward Malloy of Rout 2, Northfield died Monday evening, February 25, 1957. Since 1950, Mrs. Malloy and her husband have been living on a farm in the Little Chicago community,
The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of the Annunciation, Hazelwood. The Rev. Carl Renz will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Malloy, the former Elizabeth Ann O'Malley was born July 4, 1870, in New York state, the daughter of John and Ann Morgan O'Malley. She came to Minnesota with her parents when she was a young girl, the family settling in Murray County. She continued to reside in that count near Currie until moving here.
She is survived by her husband and five daughters, Mrs. Henry Lilla (Mary) of Hazelwood, Mrs. Michael Eischena (Anna) of St. Paul, Mrs. Ernest Johnson (Katherine) of Minneapolis, Mrs. William Dupay (Irene) of Route 2, Northfield, Mrs. Ralph DeGross (Margaret) of New Market: three sons, John, Edward and Charles, all of whom reside at home; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three sisters. Two daughters preceded Mrs. Malloy in death.
