    • Bio: Barbara Mae Wimmer Moe, age 71, passed away on April 20, 2011.
    • She was born May 27, 1939 in San Diego, CA to John C. Magouirk and Emma Mae (Ervin) Magouirk. Barbara resided in CA, HI, IL and UT before settling down in Grand Junction, CO in August of 1992 where she enjoyed camping, fishing and rock hunting. Barbara graduated from Garden Grove High School in CA and later got her AA degree from Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA.
    • She married Edwin C. Wimmer on November 22, 1961 in Anaheim, CA and they spent 37 years together until his passing on January 4, 1998. She later met and married Richard K. Moe and were together until his passing on April 1, 2010.
    • Barbara was very active in her church and community, belonging to many clubs and organizations like Emblem Club (Elk affiliate), ESA, International Sorority, UMW, Daughters of the Nile, GJ Gem & Mineral Club and the Levis & Lace Square Dancers.
    • God, traveling and her family and friends were her passion and love in life. She was always learning something new and she said you were either going forwards or backwards but never standing still.
    • Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lori (Alan) Simpson, of Grand Junction, CO; three grandchildren: Victoria Earich, Jonathan Simpson and Alan Simpson, Jr.; and three great-grandchildren: Kassie, Natali and Thoran.
    • A memorial service will be held April 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Crossroads United Methodist Church.
    • Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads United Methodist Church, 599 30 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81504 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
