- "Willys J. Jensen, 74, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls.
- He was born on Oct. 9, 1926, in Hill River Township, the son of Arthur and Annie (Flathaug) Jensen. Willys was baptized and confirmed at Vernes Lutheran Church in McIntosh. In 1943, Willys joined the United States Army, where he served in the Military Police in the Philippines. After he was discharged in 1945, he worked in road construction.
- On Oct. 10, 1954, he married Hazel Sandahl in Clitherall. The couple lived in Fergus Falls, where Mr. Jensen worked and retired from Metz Bakery.
- He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, V.F.W, and the American Legion. He enjoyed deer hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
- Preceding him in death were his daughter, Jolene; his parents, Arthur and Annie Jensen; and a brother, Elwood."

- "Survivors include his wife; his daughters, Sheree (John) Dubbels of Fergus Falls and Jane (Bill) Armstrong of Sauk Rapids; three grandchildren, Derek and Rochelle Dubbels and Amy Armstrong; brothers, Roy (Edna) of Henderson, Ky., and Robert (Shirley) of Andover; and sisters, Vivian (Bill) Miller of Anderson, Ind., and Myrna (Richard) Olson of Thief River Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Olson Funeral Home and one hour prior the service at the church
