- Bio: Myrlee (Palmer) Nichols, age 87, of Glasgow, MT, formerly of Huron, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow.
- Her funeral service was held 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 5, at Riverview United Methodist Church in Huron with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
- A memorial service will be held in Glasgow on Saturday, March 13th at 2:00p.m. at the First Lutheran Church. A reception will be held following the service.
- Myrlee Palmer Nichols was born Myrlee Elenore Tuttle, daughter of Blaine and Lillie Josephine (Johnson) Tuttle, on December 29, 1922, in Montgomery, IA. While living in Montgomery she attended and graduated from Spirit Lake, IA, High School in 1940. Following completion of her formal education she remained in Montgomery and worked in retail businesses.
- On March 3, 1946, Myrlee married Clifton Palmer in Montgomery. The couple lived on farms in Minnesota and South Dakota. From 1958-1964 they lived in various cities in South Dakota while Clifton was starting his own business. In 1964 they moved to Huron where Myrlee worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for the Tempo retail store. In 1969 she worked in the same capacity for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company until her retirement. Her husband, Clifton died on March 19, 1986. Following retirement she worked as the executive secretary for United Way for several years.
- On October 13, 2001, Myrlee married Arden Nichols in Huron. The couple moved to Glasgow, MT, where Arden was living prior to their marriage.
- Myrlee belonged to Riverview United Methodist Church and church circles in Huron. In Glasgow she attended the Methodist Church and accompanied Arden to the Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Credit Union Workers; Lioness Club; and Past of Bethel Guardian of Jobs Daughters in her earlier years.
- Her many interests included traveling; crossword puzzles; watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy on television; and maintaining her birthday/anniversary book from which she mailed her cards to family and friends.
- She is survived by her husband, Arden of Glasgow; 3 children, Lillie Palmer of Winner, SD, Mary (Mike) Warner of Pasadena, MD, and Bruce (Paula) Palmer of Huron; 5 grandchildren, Robyn (Brian) Warner-Brown, Blaine (Mary) Warner, Lindsay Warner, Jordan Palmer, and Kirsten Palmer; 3 great grandchildren, Jalen Brown, Jordan Brown, and Nathan Warner; 7 step-children; many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; and 1 sister, Bernice (Tom) Massaro of St. Petersburg, FL.
- She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clifton; 3 sisters and spouses, Clymene (Nonnie) Jacobsen, Marion Hansen, and Josephine (Richard) Meyerhoff.
