- BOGE - On July 22nd, 1922, at St Mary's Private Hospital, Maryborough, Honora (Nora), beloved wife of Marcus Boge, and beloved mother of Marcus Jack, Lalla Bernice and Ralph Clifford (Mickey) - aged 39 years.
- OBITUARY
There passed away on Saturday night after an illness of two days, at St Mary's Private Hospital, Mrs Honora (Nora) Boge, wife of Mr Marcus Boge, of Bazaar Street, Maryborough. The deceased lady's death came as a severe blow to her family and friends, acute pneumonia causing her unexpected demise. The deceased lady who was practically a native of Queensland, was 39 years of age and arrived as an infant in arms from Ireland. Most of her life was spent in Brisbane and Maryborough. She was married fifteen years ago and is survived by her husband, Mr Marcus Boge, and three children, namely, Marcus Jack (14 years), Lala Bernice (12 years) and Ralph Clifford (8 years). There are three sisters and one brother, namely Mesdames A. E. Bell (Maryborough), F. Hazeldine (Brisbane), J. L. O'Connor (Granville, Sydney), and Mr Jack O'Connor (Melbourne). She was an ardent worker in connection with patriotic movements and church activities. The late Mrs Boge took a prominent part in the organisation of children's functions and was of a very bright and cheerful disposition. Of a very charitable nature she gave willingly to any deserving cause and was beloved by all who knew her. The funeral took place yesterday from her late residence and was largely attended by many friends including many representatives of local business houses and members of the Masonic Lodges.
