- Mathilda Larson Steiner, 103, of Aurora, passed away Friday, February 23, 2001 at Rush Copley Medical Center. She was born January 21, 1898 in Aurora.
- Mathilda was a member of Our Lady of Good Council Church for over 50 years, she was also a member of Catholic Ladies Order of Foresters for over 70 years, she was a lifelong tailor in the Aurora area.
- Survivors include her four sons, Dean B. Larson of Aurora, Frederick E. (Joyce) Larson of Florida, Donald L. (Rosemarie) Larson of Aurora and Gordon J. (Pamela) Larson of Yorkville, IL; 14 grandchildren, Mike (Terri) Reynolds, Jim Reynolds, Ann Walz, JoRene (John) Anderson, Craig (Pamela) Crosby, Lynelle (Brad) Pekoc, Pamela (Don) Berg, Stanley (Diane) Larson, Shirly (John) Theis, Barbara (Michael) Carnright, Nancy (Mark) Horton, Andrew (Jean) Larson, Steve (Marcey) Larson, Julie (Doug) Sherrell; 36 great grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
- She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Anna Meyer; her 1st and 2nd husbands, Ernest Larson and Joseph Steiner; two daughters, Lorraine (late Bev) Crosby and Vernice (late Bud) Reynolds; two sons, Gerald and Merle Larson; two grandchildren, Randy Larson and Patty Crosby Amburgey; four sisters and three brothers.
- Funeral from The Daleiden Lake Street Mortuary Thursday, March 1, 2001 at 11:30 AM to Our Lady of Good Council at 12:00 PM. Fr. Edward Gillespie will officiate with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
- Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 28 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Daleiden Lake St. Mortuary, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora. 630/898-8634.
