- Alice True Dahl , 81, died at home in Wasilla on Oct. 2, 1996. A visitation is scheduled 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Witzleben's Bragaw Chapel. A funeral is scheduled at 3 p.m. with Pastor Robert Chadwick officiating. Pallbearers will be Curtis Dahl Jr., Owen Bouslaugh, Roderick Hanks, Randolf Barrino, Bill Dixson and Rick Dixson. Burial is scheduled at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Angelus Memorial Park.
- She was born July 17, 1915, in St. Paul, Minn., and moved to Anchorage in 1962. She lived in Kodiak for one year in 1965 and then moved to Eagle River, where she lived until she moved to Wasilla in 1996. Mrs. Dahl worked as a cook in many restaurants around the state; the Belmont in Kodiak, Bernice's Cafe, Jolly VI, Bill's Arcade and Kay's Pizza Pancake House. In 1974, she went to work as a custodian at Chugiak High School, where she worked until her retirement in 1981. Mrs. Dahl was a member of the Christian Church and enjoyed reading, spending time with family, playing solitaire and crocheting. Her family said, ''She was loved and will be missed by everyone.''
- She is survived by her daughters; Travis Baker of Sterling and Trudy Bouslaugh of Wasilla; son, Curtis Dahl of Eagle River; stepdaughter, Margaret Sartain of Fargo, N.D.; brothers, Leonard and Lawrence Larson, both of Palmer; sisters, Gladys Dixson of Birchwood and Esther Haakanson of Anchor Point; 26 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin F. Dahl ; her parents, Fred and Laura Larson; and her stepson, Claude Dahl .
