- Luann Engeberg, 49, of rural Tolley, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at her home.
- She was born July 30, 1962, in Minot, the middle daughter of Leonard and Betty (Vig) Krause. She was baptized and confirmed at Hamerly Lutheran Church, rural Sherwood. She graduated from Tolley High School as valedictorian in 1980. She attended Minot State University to pursue a degree in elementary education.
- She married Lory Engeberg on Dec. 17, 1983, at Hamerly Lutheran Church. They lived and farmed in Roosevelt Township, Renville County, south of Tolley. She worked for 15 years at Behm's Truck Stop in Kenmare, which later became Dakotah Oil & Gas. In recent years, she stayed at home and helped on the farm.
- Luann was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tolley, and a member of Hamerly Lutheran Church prior to its closing. She enjoyed gardening, her flower beds, her cats, and most importantly, her nieces and nephew.
- Family: husband of 28 years, Lory, rural Tolley; mother, Betty Krause, Mohall; brother, Paul (Diana) Krause, Sherwood; sister, Carole (Tom Stanley) Hanson, Sherwood; nieces, Ashley Ueckert, Amy Harris, Becky Carnduff, Karen Hanson and Taylor Stanley; nephew, Christopher Hanson; mother-in-law, June Engeberg, Minot; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
- Luann was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Krause; and her father-in-law, Clarence Engeberg.
- Funeral: A private family service will be held.
- Burial: Grano Cemetery, Grano.
- Visitation: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the guestbook today, Dec. 27, 2011, from noon to 6 p.m., at Brose Funeral Home, Mohall.
