Jean Reindel
- Jean Lucille Reindel passed away March 17, 2016 in Des Moines, WA at the age of 96. She was born on September 12, 1919 in Menahga, Minnesota, the daughter of Henry and Josephine Hanson. She graduated from high school and became a Nurse Practical until she decided to serve her county by joining the US Army/WAAC. She served during WWII between the dates of September 1, 1943 and November 27, 1945. In the Army/WAAC she was trained as a med corpsman, auto mechanic and key punch operator. After she was honorably discharged she continued as a key punch operator at Boeing and the Washington State Highway Department until her retirement.
She married Michael C. Reindel in December of 1956 and together they shared 47 years of marriage until his passing in 2003. Jean is survived by death by her son Jeff Reindel and wife Dena, daughter Mary Tuttle and husband Bob, step-daughter Linda Borgeson and husband Larry, step-daughter Karen Moawad, and step-son Dean Reindel and wife Janna. She had 3 grandchildren, Chris Hansen, Ben Reindel, Lyndsie Reindel and 11 step grandchildren, Kerri Harms, Tiffany Scarvie, Tina Helms, Kathy Hansen, Adam Zoesch, Aric Zoesch, Chad, Tom & Bob Tuttle, Kellie Jorgensen and Tami Dickerson and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Carl Reindel, her step-daughter Sandi Zoesch and step-grandchildren William and Kelli Knapp.
Graveside services with Military honors will be on Wednesday, March 23rd at 2:00pm at Greenwood Memorial Park, 350 Monroe Ave, NE, Renton, WA 98056. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
