- Our father, Clarence Rosell Christiansen, age 88, joined his sweetheart on August 23, 2014.
- Born August 9, 1926 in Redmond to Arthur and Zell Sorensen Christiansen.
- He married Mariam Beth Lyman in the Manti Temple on June 18, 1947. Father of five daughters.
- Active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various capacities, including Scout Master, Ward Clerk, and Stake Missionary.
- He loved camping and fishing and his family. He enjoyed growing orchids, roses, and gardening. Dad served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for many years at Armco Pipe and Steel.
- Survived by his daughters, Delene (Keith) Bartholomew, Linda Cox, Paula (Gregg) Hansen, Marilyn Oddo, and Jolene Martinez; twenty grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia Christiansen, Arlene Christensen, Kate Sant, and Nina Westenskow; and one brother, Jay Sant. Preceded in death by his wife; parents; son-in-law, Elvin Cox; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
- Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., with a viewing at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in the Riverside Ward Chapel, 1148 West 500 North, Salt Lake City.
Interment will follow in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville.
