They will make their home in Fort Dodge.August 2, 1961 - Humboldt Republican - Funeral services for Mrs Menom Bjornson, 79, were at 2 Tuesday afternoon at the Lindhart funeral home. The Rev Francis P Burr, pastor of the congregational church, officiated and interment was in Union cemetery.Mrs Bjornson died Sunday at the Warford nursing home in west Des Moines where she had been the past two months. She had lived in West Des Moines a few years after spending most of her life in Humboldt.The former Alma Wittman, daughter of John and Albertina Brandernburger Wittman, she was born at Somonauk, IL and came to Weaver township, Humboldt county, when she was eight years old. Since the death of her husband, Menom Bjornson, in 1955, she had resided with a niece, Mrs Hugh Short, in West Des Moines.Surviving are one brother, E.C. Wittman of Humboldt and several nieces and nephews.
