- Bio: Former Frost-Bricelyn area resident Dorothy E. Amundson, 83, of Mankato, died Saturday, January 4, 1997, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato, Minnesota.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 1997 at Grace Lutheran Church, Mankato, Minnesota, with the Rev. James A. Nelson officiating. Organist is Mary Schuldt. Casket Bearers are Lloyd Amundson, Richard Peterson, Steve Warner, Chris Hultengren, John Walsvick, and William Warner. Burial will be at Dell Lutheran Cemetery in rural Frost.
Visitation is 3 to 6 p.m. today at Mankato Mortuary and continues one hour before services at the church. Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Amundson was born June 15, 1913 to Albert and Ida (Enstad) Warner in Cottonwood County. She married Sidney Amundson August 23, 1951, in Mankato. They lived in the Frost-Bricelyn area until moving to Mankato in 1976. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Summit Center. She enjoyed reading.
She is survived by three sisters, Vivian Warner, Margaret Walsvick and her husband John, all of Mankato, and Thelma Carlson of Pollock, S.D.; one brother, Charles Warner of St. Clair; one brother-in-law, Clifford Amundson and his wife Loretta of Madison Lake, one sister-in-law, Esther Spencer of Blue Earth; and nieces of nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, and three brothers.
