- Bio: Son of Gunder G. & Valda (Hanson) Forre.He grew up in the Newman Grove area where he received his early education. Glenn served in the United States Army during World War II from February 21, 1941 until August 29, 1945, serving 42 months in the South Pacific War Zone. Glenn and Dorothy Romshek, daugher of Henry C. and Gertrude Romshek, were married at Bellwood on December 29, 1946 and to this union one son was born.He graduated from the University of Nebraska where he received his B.S. degree in Agriculture in 1949. He taught in the On The Farm Training Program and farmed prior to being employed at Columbus Production Credit Association (PCA) retiring in 1981. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, travel, reading, and Nebraska Football. He was a member of the American Legion Post #327-Bellwood, VFW and DAV both of Columbus, and the Bellwood United Methodist Church. Glenn is survived by:Wife: Dorothy Forre of Bellwood, NE Son: Thomas G. (Lynne) Forre of Lakewood, CO Sister: Jeanette (Les) Forre Mortensen of Portland, OR Brother: Sidney (Phyllis) Forre of Newman Grove, NE Sister: Ruby (William) Meyer of Sioux City, IA numerous nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by:Father: Gunder G.
