    • Bio: Earl Rudolph Zumm, age 93, formerly of Fox Lake, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI.
    • Earl was born on May 14, 1921 in Groton, SD, the son of Karl Frederick and Anna Marie Tressie (Mann) Zumm. He proudly served his country during the World War II in the United States Army from 1942-45. On October 5, 1947, he was united in marriage to LaVonne Nygaard in Pierpont, SD. Earl worked for Green Giant Canning Company in Beaver Dam, as well as for the City of Fox Lake. He also was a volunteer fireman in Fox Lake. During retirement, he enjoyed mowing grass at Silver Springs Campground, doing snow removal and cleaning at Mr. B's. Earl was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fox Lake, and for over 65 years he was a member of the American Legion Post #521.
    • Earl is survived by his wife, LaVonne of Beaver Dam; his children, Cynthia (Don) Schultz of Watertown, Timm (Heather) Zumm of Spring Green and Diane (Peter) Fredricksen of East Troy; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Blasiola, Jonathan (Laura) Schultz, Lindsey Fredricksen, Kristi (DeVon Brent) Fredricksen, Jeremy (special friend, Becky) Zumm, Nicholas Zumm, Caleb Zumm and Noah Zumm; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Jordanger, Ella Anderson and Dora Mae Huggett; sisters-in-law, Lois Zumm and Delores Nelson; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    • Earl was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Arnold, Harold, Rueben, Dan and Carl; his sisters, Viola and Frances; and a brother and sister in infancy.
    • In honoring Earl's wishes, a private family service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton with Rev. David Nottling officiating. Graveside military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #521.
      Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services in Beaver Dam is honored to be serving the family.
