Wierson who died Wednesday evening last week following a short illness. A short prayer was held at the Erickson Funeral Home at 2 o'clock, followed by services in Salem Lutheran church at 2:30, with Rev. Olaf Holen in charge. Miss Kathleen Jorgenson and Mrs. C. L. Wierson sang solos at the church. Pall bearers were grandsons of the deceased, Lucas W. Teigland, Robert Wierson, Robert Goodmanson, Carroll Teigland, Arnold Wierson and Jeffrey Thorson. Burial was made in the Roland cemetery.Ole S. Wierson, son of Wier and Sarah Sampson Wierson, was born in Skanevik, Norway, on April 22, 1965 and passed away at his home in Roland on Wednesday, July 24, 1946, from pneumonia following a short illness, at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 2 days.He came to America with his parents at the age of nine years, coming directly to Story City. He was married on May 31, 1890 to Miss Carrie Ericson (Tjelmeland). They lived near Story City for a number of years and later moved to Kenyon, Minn., where they lived four years. They moved to Roland 17 years ago. Mrs Wierson passed away four years ago.Eight children were born to this union, two of whom have passed away. one in infancy and Mrs. Milo Thorson a few years ago. Those surviving are Mrs. Veva Teigland of Ames, Ed Wierson of Ontario, Mrs. Lila Jorgenson of Story City, Mrs. Myrtle Goodmanson and Otis Wierson of Roland and Leslie Wierson of Ackley. Also three brothers, Sam and Martin Wierson of Story City, and Peter Wierson of Grand Forks, N.D., and one sister, Mrs. Daniel Danielson, of Carpio, N.D. He is survived by 32 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Mr. Wierson was a member of the Salem church since coming to Roland, and a great lover of missions. When residing in Story City he served for many years as trustee in the Immanual Lutheran church.Among those from a distance in attendance at the funeral were Mrs. Gilbert Hovelsrud of St. Paul, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Dan Danielson, and E. W. Erickson of Carpio, N.D., Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wirtz of Newburg, Ind., Pvt. Robert Goodmanson of El Paso, Tex., Robert Wierson of Burbank, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson and Mr and Mrs. Kermit Carlson of Des Moines, Dr. and Mrs. Robert Kruger of Fort Dodge.Also the following old neighbors and friends from Story City; Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Hill, Paul A. Olson, Mrs. John Jondall, Mrs. Clara Jacobson, G. H. Amlund, L. J. Tjernagel, Mr. and Mrs. John Lee, Mr. and Mrs. C. L.
