- Red Lodge - John Adolph Fiveland, 84, retired Red Lodge area rancher, died Tuesday at a son's home near Luther.
- Mr. Fiveland was born, Dec. 22, 1880, in Norway, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Phorbjorn Fiveland. He came to Castle, Mont., in 1898. He lived in Billings from 1906 to 1911, when he homesteaded on Volney Creek.
- He married Martha H. Haraldsaide in Billings, Mar. 29, 1912. The couple moved to Red Lodge when he retired in 1954.
- He was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, and Masonic bodies.
- Survivors include a son, Thorvold Fiveland of Luther, a sister, Mrs. C.E. Indreland of Red Lodge; two half-brothers and two half-sisters in Norway; and four grandchildren.
- Funeral services in St. Olaf's Lutheran Church on Lower Red Lodge Creek. Burial in St. Olaf's cemetery.
