- Bio: Marion L. Williamson, 70, died Thursday, January 12, 1995, at Boone County Health Center in Albion.
- Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, at Jacobson-Motl Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established in her memory. Jacobson-Motl Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
- Funeral services will be Monday, January 16, at Shell Creek Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Harlan Heier officiating. Burial was in the Shell Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Newman Grove, Iowa.
- Marion Louise Severin was born May 14, 1924 in Clarence, the daughter of Elmer and Blanche (Marion) Severin. She attended grade school in Bear Grove Township and graduated from Guthrie Center High School in 1942. She attended a year of college at Iowa State University and returned home to help her parents and brother while her older brother, Donald, served in the U.S. Army during World War II. She married Ingvald Carl Williamson on January 20, 1952, in Guthrie Center. To this union five children were born. Together they farmed northeast of Newman Grove. She was first employed at the Newman Grove Hospital in Newman Grove. She then became employed as head nurse and administrator at the Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home from 1967 to 1982. Ingvald preceded her in death on February 8, 1980. She then moved to Newman Grove where she was employed as a teacher's aide at the Newman Grove Public Schools and was also working at the Newman Grove Public Library at the time of her death.
- She also worked at numerous Bloodmobile drives and organized fund drives for the American Heart Association. She was a member of Shell Creek Lutheran Church. She loved to work outdoors, read the paper cover to cover and visit with family and friends. Above all, she loved the time she spent with her granddaughter, Audrey Louise Brandl.
- Surviving are one son, John Williamson of Newman Grove; four daughters, Elizabeth and Janet, both of Newman Grove, Jean of Stanton, and Carolyn of Norfolk; one granddaughter; one brother, Walter (Esther) Severin of Adair; one sister-in-law, Ellen Severin of Carroll; one brother-in-law, Willie Williamson of Albion; and several nieces and nephews.
- She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Donald Severin.
