    • Bio: MRS. EMMA ZELLER, RESIDENT 56 YEARS BURIED ON TUESDAYMrs. Emma Zeller, 72, one of the county's early pioneers, died Friday morning at St. Joseph's hospital in this city. She had been in ill health the past ten years suffering with a heart ailment. She had been cared for at the home of her daughters, Mrs. Ben Larson of Wadena and Mrs. Leon Avenson of Dorset before being taken to the local hospital. Emma Sebekow was born January 15, 1874 in Germany, coming with her parents to the United States at the age of three years. The family located in Wadena county, where Emma received her education. In 1890 she came to Park Rapids and three years later was united in marriage to Math Zeller in Park Rapids. Nine children were born to the union. The family lived in Todd township until Mr. Zeller's death following which Park Rapids had been her residence. Mrs. Zeller was a member of St. John's Lutheran church and the Ladies aid and a regular attendant at both, when her health permitted. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend, ever ready to help in times of sickness or sorrow. She was a devout Christian wife and mother and devoted to her home and family. During her long illness she was ever cheerful and uncomplaining. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran church, Rev. C. J. Nissen officiating. There was a large attendance of relatives, friends and neighbors and a wealth of floral offerings. Pallbearers were the sons, Fred, Clarence, Emil, Lawrence, Leo, and Herbert. Burial was made in Greenwood.Surviving are two daughters and seven sons who are, Fred, Lawrence and Leo of Park Rapids, Clarence of Chicago, Emil Torrance, Calif., Herbert of Nimrod and Woodrow of Westwood, Calif., and Mrs. Ben Larson of Wadena and Mrs. Leon Avenson of Dorset. There is a sister, Mrs. Ida Robinson of Wadena and two half brothers, Herman Sebekow of Oxford, Florida and Fred Sebekow of Jamestown, North Dakota. There are also seventeen grandsons. Mr. Zeller preceded his wife in death. Al of the children were here for the funeral with the exception of the son Woodrow of Westwood, Calif., who with his family was home only a month ago to visit his mother.
