- Bio: Funeral services for Charlotte Aileen Larson of Villisca, Iowa, were held October 2, 1995 at the Wolfe Funeral Home with Pastor Albert Baker. Burial was in Arlington Cemetery.
Pall bearers were Kenneth Gage, Kent Gage, Roy Taylor, Dwayne McGrath, Bob Taylor, and Patrick Ryan. Organist was Frances Gray. At the register was Leona Phillis with Violet Martin and Anita Higgins as flower bearers
Charlotte Aileen Pattison, daughter of John P. Pattison and Kate A. Smith, was born June 12, 1915 in Adams County, Iowa and died September 28, 1995 in Corbett, Oregon at the age of 80. She was married on August 9, 1933 in the Strand Parsonage, Adams County, Iowa to Loyd Berton Larson, son of Lars Larson and Fay Thorson. They were married by Rev. Reuben H. E. Iverson, Lutheran minister. Witnesses were Manilla Olson and Mrs. Reuben H. E. Iverson
They were parens of Carmalita Ann (Nickie) and Linda.
The couple farmed in Adams County, then moved to Sprigdale, Oregon in 1956 where she worked in a vegetable packing plant. In 1961, the couple moved to Minnesota where they dairy farmed and she cooked in a hotel. In 1976, they retired and moved back to Iowa.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband in 1981, and one granddaughter.
Survivors include daughters, Nickie and husband Lyall Gage of Villisca, and Linda and husband Francis McGrath of Gulfport, Mississippi. Also grandchildren, Karen and husband Roy Taylor of Grant, Iowa; Kenneth Gage and wife Carolyn and Kent Gage and wife Mary, all of Villisca; and Dwayne, Danita, and Dennis McGrath, all of Gulfport, Mississippi. Also five great grand children and six step great grandchildren. Also two sisters, Thelma Dhone of Corbett, Oregon and Margaret Wilson of Corning, Iowa, two brothers-in-law Neil Means of Villisca and Gerald Larson of Red Oak.
In later years Charlotte enjoyed quilting, embroidery, playing cards, and visiting.
Wolfe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
