- Bio: OBITUARY EVALINE OGLESBEE Evaline Oglesbee daughter of Isiah and Dulcenia Oglesbee was born in Pottawattamie County, Iowa, September 28, 1870, and died January 18, 1929 in Minor County, South Dakota aged 58 years, 3 months, 20 days. She accepted Christ as her Savior in early childhood and united with the Christian Church at Griswold, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Martin Cooper Bickett, February 25, 1894, at Griswold, Cass County, Iowa. Moved to South Dakota in 1905. To this union were born seven children, Charley, Fred, Mae, and Nell, who reside with their father; Mrs. Ethel Haskins, Mrs. Beulah Menzel, and Frank, who are married and reside near home. Besides these she leaves to mourn her loss two grandchildren, Jean Evaline Bickett and Margery Mae Haskins; one brother and three sisters, N. W. Oglesbee, Mrs. Myrtle Kirk, and Nancy Oglesbee of Winterset, Iowa and Mrs. A. J. Wright of Mercedes, Texas, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon with Rev. H. V. Streyffeler, pastor of the M. E. Church in charge. Interment was made in the Oldham Cemetery.Information found in a book in the Museum in Griswold, Iowa.
