- Rev. Marvin Odland, 44, passed away Monday at Bethany Home, after an illness of nearly two years. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m., from Messiah Lutheran Church, with Rev. Carl Johnson officiating.
- Born in Minneapolis on June 3, 1919, he came to Saskatchewan with his parents as a child and attended school in Saskatoon. In 1944 he was ordained from the Lutheran Seminary in Saskatoon, and was appointed to parishes in Swift Current, Weldon and Starbuck in Saskatchwan, Provost, Alberta, and Prince Rupert, B.C. and moved to Camrose nearly two years ago.
- Stricken with muscular dystrophy, he entered Bethany Hospital only a few weeks ago.
- Married to former Dorothy Hanson, he leaves his widow, three daughters, two sons, his parents, Rev. and Mrs. A. Odland of Vernon, B.C., three brothers, and three sisters.
- Burgar's Funeral Home are making arrangements for funeral services, and for interment which will follow in Camrose Cemetery.
