Helen was born on November 16, 1916 in Garretson, SD, into the family of Dittmar and Emma Nussbaum, joining three brothers and two sisters.
- Helen was a devoted wife and mother. She married William Beiningen in 1936. She married Wesley Munson in 1952. Together, they raised six children. In later years, she became grandmother and great grandmother and in recent years, even a great great grandmother.
Helen was employed as head cashier for Sears for many years until her retirement. Not one to sit idle, she enjoyed modeling for Eileen’s in later years.
She loved a good western movie and made a mean potato salad. Her strawberry rhubarb jam was a family treasure!
She was a fashionable lady with a big heart. She was stubborn with a great sense of humor. A talented quilter and an avid reader. She taught all of her “girls” to be tough, yet she was gentle with loving hands. She was the heart of our family.
- Helen was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband, Wesley, her sons, LeRoy Beiningen, Gary Munson and Aaron Munson, and grandson, Steve Beiningen.
