    • Great Falls —Carl Berner Hinderager, 94, passed away at his home of natural causes on September 25, 2013. He was born April 18, 1919 to Carl and Lucy (Highbarger) Hinderager in the same house north of Great Falls in which he began raising his own family of seven children.
    • Carl attended rural and Great Falls schools until the 8th grade. He lost his father as a young child and farmed with his mother on her homestead adjoining Benton Lake. He met and married Leone Scott at Grace Baptist Church in Great Falls in 1946. He moved his family to Darby in 1957 to be closer to schools, then moved to the Fairfield Bench in 1959 where he farmed and ranched until his retirement. Carl married Hazel Holland in 2002 then later moved to Great Falls.
    • He enjoyed and raised polled hereford cattle and was active in the Montana Polled Hereford Association. He was active in local churches throughout his life.
    • Carl received Christ as Savior as a young man and spent his entire life serving Him, leading countless people to the Lord. His life was blessed and his life blessed many others.
    • He is survived by his dear wife, Hazel, and children, Ted (Audre'), Choteau, Ann (Rich) Jergenson, Vaughn, Scott (Sally) Fort Shaw, Carl Jr. (Della), Caronport Sask., Paul (Berva), Vaughn, and Max (Carla), of Lewistown; step-children, Peggy (Greg) Larson, Vaughn, and Frank (Tina) Holland of Gardiner; 15 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 9 step-great-grandchildren.
    • His first wife, Leone and his daughter, Karen, preceded Carl in death. Also, his brother Charles, and sisters Betty Woodward and Bernice Ewing.
    • Memorials may be made to Intermountain Christian Fellowship, Box 9, Ulm, MT 59485 or to the donor's choice. Memorial services will be Saturday, October 5th at 11am in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home with private burial preceding the service.
