    • Bio: Lois I. Dahms-Sampson, age 80, of Menomonie, WI passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Comforts of Home Memory Care Center with her family by her side.
    • The former Lois Guenther was born June 26, 1932 in Menomonie, WI to Lambert and Frances (Behling) Guenther. She was raised in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School.
    • On August 9, 1951 Lois married Junior Dahms at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie where she was also baptized and confirmed. Junior preceded her in death in 2007. Lois later married Jack Sampson on January 31, 2008.
    • Lois worked at First National Bank for many years and was secretary for the Dunn County Fair Board, but more important to her was raising her five children. She was the "Best Mom in the World". She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    • Lois enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting prayer shawls for church, puzzles and crossword puzzles, playing cards especially Skip-Bo, her flowers and the Packers. She even made a Packer fan of Jack a former Viking fan. She and Jack also enjoyed R.V.ing the past few years. The highlight of her life was a trip to Germany with Junior. For many years Lois's favorite thing was morning coffee with her best friend, ReEtta Hart. Lois was a beautiful lady and this was remarked by people many times.
    • Lois is survived by her husband, Jack Sampson; her children, Charlene (Gerry) Boots of Menomonie; Randy (Barb) Dahms of Menomonie; Kathy (Steve) Burgraff of Menomonie; Brian Dahms of Scottsdale, AZ; Jody (Stacy) Dahms of Farmington, MN; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    • She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Junior in 2007 and a sister, Phyllis Fizel.
    • The family of Lois would like to give a special Thank You to Comforts of Home Memory Care Center for the wonderful care she got while she was a resident there for eighteen months.
    • A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor David Whelan officiating. There will be visitation at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
