- Bio: Janet (Griffeth) Idso, Fargo passed away peacefully on November 11, 2014, after a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
- Janet Griffeth was born on September 12, 1933, the daughter of Agnes Schur and George Griffeth of Casselton, ND. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Casselton, ND in 1951. Janet worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone, Fargo. She married Duane Idso in 1954.
- Janet is survived by her children, Margie (Kevin) Kuehl, Maple Grove, MN and David (Kelly) Idso, West Fargo; four grandsons, Anthony Neumann, Aaron (Naomi) Nix-Kuehl, Jordan (Jill) Idso, Adam Idso and one great granddaughter, Elliot Grace Idso; her brother, Gary (Charlotte) Griffeth, Fargo and her sister, Carol (Buzz) Argall, Lake Park, MN. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and grandson.
- Janet's life was her family. She loved spending time at their lake home, on Fox Lake, Detroit Lakes, MN and at many family gatherings, especially with aunts, uncles and cousins in her Schur family. Janet's nieces and nephews were very special to her and she spent time caring for them and influencing their lives.
- She was a voracious reader, liked crossword puzzles, especially the Sunday paper ones, working through them with her Aunt Muriel. Television game shows brought her hours of enjoyment.
- She was an avid Viking fan and found great enjoyment on game days sharing Vikings frustration with her family.
- The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley, especially nurse Kelli, for the caring and assistance.
- Funeral: Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at 10 AM at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo with visitation one hour prior.
