- Bio: Janet Mae Alma (Cran) Bard, the daughter of Granville and Vivian A. (Caspersen) Cran, was born on May 27, 1934, in Duluth, Minnesota. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, graduating from Denfield High School.On August 26, 1956, Janet was united in marriage with Harold Bard at Duluth, Minnesota.Janet was a member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. Janet enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, camping and shopping – especially for a new blouse!Janet passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove, at the age of 82 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Granville Cran; mother, Vivian Cran Manseau; step-father, Bud Manseau; husband, Harold; daughter, Cheryl Bard; brother, Donald Cran and sister, Shirley Beedy.Survivors include her children, Craig Bard and wife Diane of Eagle Grove, Randy Bard of Eagle Grove, Diane Mrazek and husband Tony of Granger and Brian Bard and wife Susie of Los Angeles, CA; seven grandchildren: Joshua, Stephanie, Lindsay, Amber, Thomas, Megan, and Andrew; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Forsyth of Duluth, MN; sisters-in-law, Marlis Cran of Duluth, MN and Paulette Bard of Lincoln, NE and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jason Cooper officiating.
