    • Bio: James Daniel Bryan "Dan" III went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 28, 2013. Dan Bryan was a native Houstonian, an only child of James Daniel Bryan, Jr. and Grace Louise Williams Bryan. He was born on September 8, 1936, and resided there most of his life. After graduating from Lamar High School in Houston, Dan attended Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, and The University of Texas at Austin, Texas where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree and met his future wife, Linda Marie Jackson. They married in 1959 after graduating from Texas University where Dan was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Dan served in the Texas Air National Guard while beginning his career with The Campbell Soup Company. Later he entered sales with the Skil Power Tool Company and later moved to Chicago, Illinois as Merchandising Manager. Upon returning to Houston, Dan began his commercial real estate career with the firm of Anderson, Fitzgerald, Giammalva. Subsequently, he headed up the Houston office for the Franklin Realty Group of Pennsylvania and later was self employed until retirement. Dan served Central Presbyterian Church of Houston as a deacon before becoming a member of Bethel Independent Presbyterian Church where he also served as Deacon. Later Dan and Linda became members of Pine Valley Bible Church in Houston and also served with the Youth for Christ Organization by ministering to troubled teenage boys at Harris County's Westside Detention Center while Linda worked as a parenting Educator at HISD's Kay On-Going Education Center for Pregnant Teens. Upon retirement in 2006, Dan and Linda moved to Tucson, Arizona and built their dream home. Dan is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Linda who died in August 2013. Dan and Linda had no children. He is survived by a brother-in-law Dr. Morris Jackson and family of Nacogdoches, Texas. Graveside Services Friday, December 6, 2013, 3:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, with visitation an hour prior at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.
