- Bio: Barbara Bradshaw Sillesen, passed peacefully with loved ones by her side on August 19, 2011.
- She was born in Glendale, California on September 11, 1925, attended Marshall High School in Los Angeles, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from DePauw University in Indiana.
- In 1948, she married William Meinerding, and was widowed in 1955.
- She moved to Claremont, California in 1956, where she met and married Christopher Sillesen in 1959.
- She worked for many years in education, first as a classroom teacher, and then as a counselor at Foothill High School in Tustin.
- Barbara gave of herself tirelessly and selflessly to a number of organizations, including serving as president of the Tustin Area Women's Club, as the Southern Orange County Alumnae president for the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority from 1993 to 1995, and as president of the Orange County Federation of Republican Women from 1990 through 1992. Barbara will be always loved and missed by everyone who knew her and who worked with her.
- She is survived by her children, Bill, Brad, Libby, and Joy, and their spouses; her niece, Tina; and her nephew, Tim.
- Memorial services will be held on October 22, 2011 at a location to be determined.
