- Bio: Omer Amundson - Winnebago - Services for Omer Amundson, 95, of Winnebago will be 10:30 a.m. today at Parker Oaks Health Care Center, Winnebago. Burial will be in Dell Lutheran Cemetery, Emerald Township, Faribault County.
Amundson died Saturday, November 20, 1999, at Parker Oaks Health Care Center, Winnebago. He was 95 years, 10 months and 20 days of age. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home, Wells, is in charge of arrangements.
Omer Amos Amundson was born December 31, 1903, in Emerald Township, Faribault County, Minnesota, son of Sam and Elsie (Twait) Amundson. He grew up on a farm near Brush Creek. He helped on the farm, then lived in the Easton area for several years before he moved to Parker Oaks in 1973. He enjoyed cars and was a very kind hearted man.
Survivors include: brother, Clifford Amundson of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Esther Spencer of Omaha, Neb.; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jesse, Gaylord, and Sidney.
