- Bio: Sunday afternoon the Langford Lutheran Church was filled to overflowing with sorrowing relatives and friends who gathered to pay their last respects to Clarence Osness, respected Langford business man who passed away at the Britton hospital Thursday, November 8th.
Three local pastors, Rev. George Thompson of the Lutheran Church, Rev. Ernest Currier of the Langford Methodist Church and Rev. Earl Gulbranson had a part in the impressive rites with the latter delivering the sermon. Each of the pastors had been with Mr. Osness in the few short days before the final summons and spoke of the glory it was to see one who was so ready to go with his Maker.
A ladies quartette consisting of Mrs. Marvin Gullickson, Mrs. Marvin Carson, Mrs. Kenneth Jones and Mrs. Leonard Likness, beautifully sang "Only a Touch of the Hand " and Mr. Donald Symens of Amherst sang "Jesus Whispers Peace". They were accompanied by Mrs. Marvin Nickelson.
The many floral offerings and memorial gifts to his memory were indicative of the esteem in which all held Mr. Osness.
