- Bio: Lorraine Eunice "Punky" Wahl age 79 of Westbrook peacefully went to meet her Lord on Friday, September 24, 2010 while surrounded by her family.
Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook.
Interment is in the Westbrook Cemetery.
Lorraine was born on March 29, 1931 in Cottonwood County to Raymond and Florence (Larson) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Punky attended school in Westbrook. On February 5, 1950, Lorraine was united in marriage to Kenneth Wahl at Trinity Lutheran Church. Together they farmed and raised their eight children. Punky worked at the grocery store, the egg plant, and the VFW. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where she was confirmed and married. Punky was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, bowling and craft. Her coffee pot was always on. She also enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee with her children and grandchildren. Punky was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Lorraine is survived by her husband Kenneth of 60 years; children: Vicky (Jerome) Ruppert of Eau Claire, WI, Barb (Frank) Knusta of Eau Claire, WI, Alan (Rosalyn) Wahl of Westbrook, Robert (Kathy) Wahl of Avoca, Jerry (Ginny) Wahl of Brokeville, MD, Randy (Jane) Wahl of Chanhassen, Ranae (Danny) Sell of Currie, and Douglas (Cindy) Wahl of Farmington; 31 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; siblings: Deloris Lindley of Springfield, Kenneth (Gwen) Anderson of Westbrook, Robert (Mary) Anderson of Westbrook, and Ramona (Lenny) Linneman of Richfield; and many other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, brother Marvin Anderson, and sister in law DeEtte Anderson.
