    • Anderson, Russell J. Age 80 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with brain cancer on August 29, 2012.
    • Survived by son, Rob (Vetnita); grandchildren, Luke and Lily.
    • Prior to bartending at the Minneapolis Airport until age 79, Russ had his own wholesale business selling supplies to local cabinet shops.
    • He was also a Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard.
    • Born in Sioux Falls, SD he met and married Sharon Gunderson. They moved to Minnesota for the opportunity to adopt a son.
    • Russell gave his time freely to the local youth coaching baseball, basketball, and football, as well as helping out the local Boy Scout troop. Russell taught many about hard work, doing your best, and to have fun. He also had a great passion for skeet shooting and firearms. His sense of humor and generosity will be missed by many.
    • Graveside Service 2:30 PM Wednesday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery (meet at assembly area # 2).
