    • Bio: ITHACA - Norma was born in Iowa on August 27, 1920. She was the twin daughter of Professor and Mrs. Walfred Anderson. She moved to Ithaca in 1929, graduated from Ithaca High School in 1938, attended Cornell University in 1939, and graduated from Coe College (Iowa) in 1942.In 1943, Norma married Edmund Mekeel Weatherby, who predeceased her in 1983 a few weeks before their 40th anniversary. She was also predeceased by her twin sister, Ruth Marshall, in 1960.
      Norma was a past volunteer of the Tompkins County Hospital, the Mary Hibbard Aid, and the Reconstruction Home, where she served as a member of the Board of Directors. She was a past member of the Country Club of Ithaca, the Ithaca Yacht Club, and the Friends of Ithaca College.Mrs. Weatherby is survived by her daughter, Patricia Janhonen; her grandsons, William Brazo (Sara) and John Brazo (Tina); granddaughter, Katie Craig (Keith); grandchildren, Nicholas, Jed, Jackson, Julia, Katie, Kalie, James and Jesse; and several nieces and nephews.
      As per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. There will be a graveside service at East Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, May 7, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. .
      The American Cancer Society is the organization Norma identified for anyone wishing to make a contribution.
