- Bio: River Falls, Wis. - William Franklin Martyn, 59, of River Falls, Wis., and formerly of Aberdeen, S.D., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at Fairview University Hospital, Minneapolis, Minn. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1410 N. Kline St., Aberdeen. A light lunch will follow. Memorials in lieu of flowers preferred to: William Martyn Memorial, c/o Division of Adult Hematology, Oncology & Transplantation, Mayo Mail Code 480, 420 Delaware St. S.E., Minneapolis, MN 55455. Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements. William Franklin Martyn was born July 11, 1946, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Wilford and Elaine (Mulcahey) Martyn. Up to the time of his death, Bill was an avid outdoor sports enthusiast, musician, Packer-Backer, and active parent. Bill enjoyed spending time at the family lake cabin at Pickerel Lake, S.D. He was a retailer in Aberdeen and the Twin Cities prior to his retirement in 2001. He is survived by loving wife, Pamela; children, Molly of Denver, Colo., and Bill Jr. of Somerset, Wis.; brother, Marc Martyn and stepmother, Sally Martyn, both of Spokane, Wash.; mother-in-law, Barbara Pagones and brother-in-law, Peter Pagones, both of Aberdeen; best friend "Drake," the family Labrador; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother, Jack, and father-in-law, John Pagones.
