    • Bio: Dorothy Eliason. 95, died Monday, July 26, 2004, at the Canton-lnwood Memorial Hospital.

      Dorothy Louise Markle was born January II, 1909 at Webb City. Missouri to Charles and Maude (Stukey) Markle. She moved with her family to South Dakota as a child.

      She married Alvin Eliason on January 12, 1935 in Canton, where they made their home. Alvin preceded Dorothy in death in December, 1980.

      She was a very unique lady, very loving mother, grandmother, and granny.

      Survivors include: her daughter, Marsha Eliason, Canton; granddaughter, Robin (Joel) Sorlie, Canton; three great-grandchildren, Tyler,Morgan, and Tanner Sorlie; one brother, Don (Arlene) Markle, Canton; and four sisters, Hazel Aasheim, Canton, and Lucille Eliason, Maxine Bresee, and Betty (Howard) Severson, all of Sioux Falls. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

      Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Friday, July 30, 2004 at Canton Lutheran Church, with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery near Canton.Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 PM at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton, with family present from 6:30 to 8 PM.
