  Bio: Mae Corrine Nelson died February 17, 2007, at Centennial Health Care Center in Greeley. Mae Corrine was born September 22, 1928, in Pierpont to Charles Floyd and Laura Gurina March. She was the youngest of three children. Mae attended high school at Denver West and Loveland High. She returned to Pierpont where she graduated from high school in 1947. On March 24, 1947, she married Lloyd Norman Nelson in Pierpont. They moved to Loveland, CO, in 1955 where they raised seven children. Mae worked at the Loveland Hewlett Packard plant for many years. Mae and Lloyd moved to the Johnstown/Milliken area in 1973. Mae was an active member of the Milliken Senior Center until she became ill in 2005 and was unable to return to her home. Survivors include her daughters, Laura Joan Nelson, Milliken, and Marilyn Hadley, Greeley; sons, John Nelson, Loveland, and Paul (Frances Soltis) Nelson, Loveland; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three children, and two sisters. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 23, at Allnutt-Hunter Chapel in Loveland. Mae was never able to have fresh flowers in her home because of allergies. At her request, the family requests flowers in lieu of or in addition to charitable donations.
