- Bio: Clarice Ilene Parsons, 82, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Sandpoint, Idaho. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the First Lutheran Church in Sandpoint. Clarice was born on August 28, 1933 in Bellingham, WA to John and Ann Likness. She grew up and attended schools in Seattle, and graduated from Ballard High School. She attended the University of Washington, and was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. It was during a college spring break trip to Laguna Beach that she met the love of her life. Clarice married Jim Parsons, Jr on April 3, 1954 in Seattle. The couple made their home in Sandpoint, where they opened the Schweitzer Ski Haus in 1963. Clarice also worked for Ross Rexall for 22 years.Clarice has been active in the Sandpoint community for over 60 years. She has served as president of the Washington and Farmin elementary school PTA, 50 year member of Beta Sigma Phi, 30 year member of CAL, and was honored as a Woman of Wisdom in 2006.She is survived by her husband Jim Parsons, Jr; daughter Linda (Bill) Connolly; son Jim L. (Rhonda) Parsons; two grandchildren Tyler and Garrett Connolly; two step-grandchildren Jeffery (Kim) Buckius and Samara (Rory) Barnes; six step-great-grandchildren Rory, Liam, Owen, Jordyn, Justin, and Abigail all from Sandpoint; sister Donita (Howard) Wilson of Seattle and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Jerry Likness.
