- Bio: LEWIS, Gordon William Passed away at his home in Santa Rosa on Friday, February 23, 1996. Dearly beloved husband of 57 years to Ethel Lewis of Santa Rosa. Beloved father of Arthur G. Lewis and his wife Sherre of Graton, CA, and Robert J. Lewis and his wife Jeanne of Moraga, CA. He is also lovingly survived by his grandchildren Jeremy M. Lewis of San Francisco, and Marc and Kristen Lewis of Moraga. Gordon was born on January 26, 1913 In Bancroft, Nebraska and moved to San Pedro, CA in 1918 where he attended school. Gordon and Ethel were married In 1938 and came to Santa Rosa in 1946. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Santa Rosa Lodge 57, F. & A.M., Santa Rosa Scottish Rite Bodies, and Aahmes Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S. For 50 years, Gordon worked and traveled throughout the Redwood Empire. Gordon will be remembered by his friends and loved ones for his love, warmth, vitality, vigor, sense of humor, and fishing skills. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Thursday, February 29, 1996 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1550 Pacific Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA. Private Inurnment, Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
