- Bio: Beverly Ann Lande, 83, of Sumner, died Thursday, March 16, at home.She was born Sept. 8, 1933, in Goldfield, daughter of Lloyd and Ruby (Knutson) Lerdal. She was a graduate of Belmond High School. She married Ralph “Jim” Lande on Jan. 1, 1052, in Belmond. He died April 28, 2009. Bev owned and operated Handy Lande Laundry, as well as Lande Redemption in Sumner. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Church.Survivors are three daughters, Rebecca (Rodney) Arthur of Loveland, Colo., and Pamela (Steve) Rogers and Cynthia (Thomas) Kinn, both of Sumner; a son, Lloyd “Jimmie” of Sumner; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jan Meints; two brothers, Roland “Bud” (Carol) Lerdal and Robert “Bob” (Shirley) Lerdal; and many nieces and nephews.Preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter; four brothers, Lee, Roger, Thomas and Kenneth Lerdal; a sister-in-law, Diane Lerdal; and a brother-in-law, Glenn “Moo” Meints.Services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, at St. John Evangelical Church, Sumner with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and for an hour before services at the church.
