- Bio: Margaret L. "Margie" Jensen, 87, of East Dundee died Friday, September 21, 2000 at Provena-St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin.
She was born in Story City, IA on April 28, 1913. She was the daughter of Severin and LaSina Lee. Mrs. Jensen was a resident of the Dundee area for 58 years. She married Arthur M. on July 15, 1944. She was a graduate of The University of Iowa where she earned her degree in education. She was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. For many years, she was a teacher in School District #300. She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood for 69 years, a charter member and past president (1949-50) of the GD Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood of Elgin. She was a very active member of the First Congregational Church of West Dundee.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, and countless good and faithful friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur M., on July 21, 1994; a brother, Robert Lee.
Memorial funeral services will be on Saturday, October7, 2000 at 1 p.m. in the First Congregational Church of West Dundee. The Rev. Pamela F. Pendexter will officiate. Burial will be in the Dundee Township Cemetery East, East Dundee. Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church of West Dundee.
