Rushford Man Dies After Long Illness Rushford, Minn.—(Special to The
- Republican-Herald)—Funeral services for Ingvald Wlkre, who had made his home with his niece and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. _Skarstad_, Wlscoy Valley, for two and one-half years, were conducted at the Lutheran church here Friday afternoon. Burial was in ' the _Rushford cemetery. • Mr. Wikre was born in Norway, Dec. 30, 1866, and died last Wednesday at the age of 67. He suffered a stroke two years ago but had been up and around until last Christmas when his condition bei came serious. He was confined to his room for nearly five months. His wife died in Norway. Survivors are one son, whose address has not been known since the World war; a sister and brother in Norway, and 15 nieces and nephews. Relatives who attended the services from a distance, were Mrs. Martin Erickson_, Mrs. Garda Kroboth and Melvln Wlkre, Story City, Iowa; Mrs. Andrew Anderson and John Wikre, Thor, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wikre and children, Hayfleld, Minn. Mrs. N. A. Skarstad sang "Two Old Rugged Cross" during the services at which the Rev. L. N. Otr terstad officiated. Pallbearers were Albert Wikre, John Wikre, Melvta Wlkre, Lewis Berge, Irvln Skarstad and J. C. Skarstad.
