- Bio: The News-Dispatch (Jeannette)January 24, 1928JOSEPH KUNKLEJoseph Kunkle, aged 88 years, January 16, a resident of the vicinity of Irwin all his life, died Sunday evening at 6 o'clock at his home a short distance southeast of Irwin. Mr. Kunkle was an agriculturist all his life and was one of the successful farmers of North Huntingdon township. His wife died seven years ago. He was a member of the Brush Creek Lutheran church. Surviving are the following children: Attorney Harry Kunkle, of South Dakota; Joseph, of North Dakota; James, of South Dakota; Taylor, of Irwin; Mrs. E. Tomasche, of North Dakota; Mrs. Harry Stough, of Irwin, and Edward and Charles Kunkle, at home. Funeral services will be held in his late home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. J. H. Miller, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, Irwin. The interment will be in the Irwin Union cemetery.
