- Hannah T. Beaubien, 82, Sioux City, died Wednesday at her daughter's residence in Sioux City after a long illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel. The Rev. M. L. Jacobson of Morningside Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Mrs. Beaubien, the former Hannah Abelsen, was born Jan. 29, 1901, in Norway. She came to the United States and to Mission Hill, S. D. at the age of 2 and had resided in Sioux City for 75 years. She married George D. Vilim in December of 1918 in Sioux City. He died April 1, 1939. She married Leo Beaubien in 1968. He died in 1971. She was employed for several years at the Cudahy Packing Co. until its closing in 1954. She was a member of Morningside Lutheran Church and the Eagles Aerie 77 Auxiliary. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Pleiss of Sioux City; two brothers, Melvin Lynum of Mesa, Ariz. and Norman Lynum of Loveland, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Dora) Alyea of Sioux City; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
