- Bio: Edwin Johnson, 81, resident of Evansville, died at his home Tuesday, May 3, 1977. Funeral services were held Friday, May 6 at 2 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Evansville. Rev. George Larson officiated. Interment in the Mound Grove Cemetery, Evansville.
The son of Jacob and Gunhild Johnson, born July 14, 1895 in Douglas County was united in marriage to Hannah Skare on March 23, 1921 at Elbow Lake. they farmed near Erdahl then started the Indian Mound camp near Ashby. Nine years later they moved to Minneapolis, returning to Evansville in 1962.
Survivors are his wife, one son Noel of Forest Lake, two grandchildren, five sisters: Mrs. Andrew (Guida) thue and Mrs. Robert (Alice) Dahlgren, both of Kensington; Mrs. T. O. (Gladys) Anderson and Mrs. Joseph (Stella) Flor both of Minneapolis, Mrs. George (Hilda) Thornberg of Evansville. Also surviving are two brothers: John of Elbow Lake and Alvin of Evansville.
