- Bio: Beryl Jackson, 86, of Longview, died March 19, 1994, at St. Johns Medical Center. He was born Aug. 17, 1907, at Winlock, Ore., to Alva C. and Floy E. (Brokaw) Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a life member of Kelso Elks, and belonged to the Cowlitz Valley Moose and Washington State Auto Wrecking. He was the owner of Beryl Jackson Equipment in Rainier. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Betty Jo "BJ", at home; one daughter, Dorothy Prehm of Tumwater, Wash.; a step-daughter, Corkey Herron of Carnation, Wash.; two step-sons, Patrick Herron of Ballard, Wash., and Marvin Raab of Lynnwood, Wash.; a sister, Margaret Bannister of Colville, Wash.; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. The funeral for Mr. Jackson will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Don Tegarden officiating. Private entombment will be at Longview Memorial Park.
