- Olaf Jacobson, age 88, of Huron died early Saturday morning, March 25, 1995 at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Funeral services ere held Tuesday, March 28 at the American Lutheran Church in Huron with the Rev. Bruce Iverson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Mt. Vernon.
- Olaf Jacobson was born March 22, 1907 in Aurora County to James T. and Isabel (Johnson) Jacobson. He attended grade school and high school at Hopper School near Plankinton.....

- In 1955, Mr. Jacobson was appointed to the State Agriculture, Stabilization and Convervation (sic) (A.S.C.) Committe by Secretary of Agriculture Benson. The following year he was named State Administrative Officer of the A.S.C., a position he held until April 1961 when he became the manager of the South Dakota State Fair. In 1967, he resigned as fair manager and they moved to Mitchell where he served as manager of the Lower James.....
