  Bio: Funeral services will be Wed., Dec. 27, for David "Dave" Hoff, 67, Madison, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Dec. 24, 2006, at his residence. The Rev. Bruce Iverson will officiate in Trinity Lutheran Church at Madison, and burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Hoff was born on Feb. 18, 1939, at Madison to Lloyd and Dorothy (Thompson) Hoff. He grew up near Madison, graduating from Orland High School in 1957. He served in the South Dakota National Guard. He married Peggy Matthews on Sept. 16, 1967, at Madison. They farmed south of Madison. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was on the executive board of the S.D. Pork Council, Lake County Pork County and Lake County FSA Board. He also served on the Madison Farmers Elevator board of directors. Survivors include his wife, Peggy of Madison; a son, Chris (Dana) of Madison; two daughters, Kim (Brian) Dirks of Madison, and Kelli (Mark) Schouwenburg of Watertown; eight grandchildren; a brother, Don (Betty) of Madison; and two sisters, Judy (Walter) Rentschler of Howard, and Doris (Mike) Simon of Estelline. He was preceded in death by his parents.
