- Bio: Mrs Buck passed away in her home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Gladys Halisy & George Hillesland. 13 Jan 1945 she was united in marriage to Arthur Wilson Buck Jr in St. Luke's Lutheran Church Croyden, PA.
Mrs Buck grew up, received her education in Harmony, MN. She & her husband owned / operated a donut shop which they named after themselves Dart's Bakery & Lunch Counter. She made beautiful cakes, including wedding cakes. She was known at the "Cookie Grandma" who always sent a bag of cookies w/the children as they were leaving.Mrs Buck was a loving wife, mother, grandmother & homemaker, who built two homes for her family along side of her husband, one in Croyden, PA the other in Exeter.
Mrs & Mr Buck were active members of the Erwin Easley American Legion Post 118 & Auxiliary. Each served as President of their units the same year.
After the children were grown, they traveled to Norway, England, Ireland, as well as sightseeing around the United States.
Mrs Buck was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Mrs Buck is survived by her children: Angela Nehf, Cherrwynne Walker w/husband James all of Cassville; Arthur Dannee of Exeter & Randylle of AR; brother Richard Hillesland of Bristol, PA; gr-children: Brandi Lynn Nehf Roark w/husband Scott, Paulette June Nehf Blake w/husband Hamilton, Gary Lee Nehf Jr w/wife Sheri, Bobby Nehf, Arthur Scott Brophy w/wife Melissa, Geoffrey Thomas Walker w/wife Barbara, Jeremy Scott Walker, Nicole & Aaron Buck; 17 gr-gr-children plus ten cats.
- Mrs Buck was preceded by her husband, parents, son Michael Jerome, grdaughter Natalie Jeanne Nehf & brother George.
Chaplain Jack Betts conducted the funeral services w/Burial Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
