    • Bio: Jimmy "Jim" Herbert Heine passed away on Aug. 5, 2021, due to Parkinson's Disease. Jim was born in Billings on Dec. 3, 1935, to Henrick and Katharina Heine.
    • Jim attended schools in Billings, graduating from Billings Senior High in 1955. At Senior, he was an outstanding athlete for the Broncs, playing football and basketball. He attended Eastern Montana College in Billings and then served in Germany in the Army. He married Jeanne Stenson Heine in 1960 and together they had two wonderful daughters, Julie Scott and Joni Heine. They remained married for 39 years and stayed friends.
    • Jim started off as a barber, then went on to plant operator for the city of Billings Water Dept. In the 1970s, he partnered with his brother, John, in the Heights Frost Top. When he sold his shares of the Frost Top, he began working for the Dept. of Corrections until retiring in 1998.
    • Coming from a large family (whom he loved dearly), there were many fun-filled holidays, German dinners and get-togethers. He enjoyed refinishing antiques, turning them into all sorts of beautiful pieces and going fishing at Canyon Ferry and the Yellowstone River.
    • Jim was the 11th child and all his siblings preceded him in death. Four brothers: Rueben, John, Arthur and Herbert; and six sisters: Wilhelmina, Leontina, Paulina, Alma, Anna and Olga. Jim leaves behind ex-wife and friend, Jeanne Heine; daughters Julie Scott and Joni Heine; his beloved grandsons, Alex and Zach Scott; and many, many nieces and nephews.
    • Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Mountview Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at Jeanne and Joni's, 1005 Victory Ave.
