Bob passed away the morning of April 8, 2011 at his home in Fremont. Bob was born in Berwyn, IL and moved to Fremont when he was a kid where he attended John F. Kennedy High School. After high school Bob joined the Navy where he devoted seven years of his life defending our country from 1975 to 1982. After the Navy, Bob then went to work as a principle design engineer. He then married Caren Navarro whom he had been married to for over 20 years before she passed away in November.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Caren and his father Robert Hantz.
In addition to working, Bob loved to be around family and friends. He loved doing things with his sons and being a great father. He loved to go fishing when he could.
Bob leaves behind his two sons (Tim Hantz and Robert Hantz), his brother (Roger Hantz), his mother (Elma Hantz) and his grand daughter (Danielle Hantz).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, from 9-11am with a chapel service at 11am at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, 94536. Burial will follow at Irvington Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
